Wait, Chad is not excommunicated. He is disfellowshiped. They have different requirements to regain church privileges. Excommunicated requires you to meet all the requirements of a new member, such as missionary visits, rebaptization, and church interviews. Disfellowshipped is a bishop interview.

It absolutely is not separate in Idaho! I worked for a man who was running the mayoral campaign for a woman running in Rexburg. The town was so against her because women don't belong in office.
