I think that any of them could help fill in some of tge questions and empty spaces in your research.

More fanatic Mormons, like Tim Ballad, are obsessed with the belief that God led the Europeans to America (the Mayflower, Columbus) to prepare this country for the restoration of Jesus’s restored gospel through Joseph Smith—The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And Jesus is directing the events of this church and this country to prepare for Christ’s second coming. They describe themselves as standing for Freedom, using Book of Mormon scriptures as examples and prophecies—Captain Moroni and his flag: the Title of Liberty. That’s why Mormons are so patriotic.
