Justin Riggs is an investigative researcher, journalist, and founder of the platform LDS Abuse. He holds a master’s degree in Adult Education and Training and uses his platform to act as a whistleblower against institutional abuse. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until his excommunication earlier this year, an action that was taken due to his work exposing systemic problems within the church.
Riggs’s research and reporting have uncovered what he alleges are hidden connections between the church and the CIA, and have revealed a systemic issue of ritual abuse. He emphasizes that his findings are supported by verifiable evidence and have been corroborated by numerous victim testimonies. Riggs believes the Church, as a corporation, prioritizes protecting its brand over the well-being of its members and abuse victims. His goal is not to tear down the church, but to eradicate the systemic abuse that has persisted with little public scrutiny.
