24. I suspect the church (or at the very least, the local ward) knew about the murders in advance and distanced themselves once it recieved allot publicity – the latter in large part to Larry and Kay's persistence.

    Maybe Chad and Lori did share what they were doing (blood atonement) to one of the "higher-ups," and he didn't discourage, nor give support for it (creating enough distance for himself incase it ever did get out). Or maybe he did give his approval (you still see televangelists, especially older generations, advocating hatred and violence against minorities and LGBTQ+ people). Or perhaps they did act on their own without informing anyone (even so, Mormonism – like every organised religion – gave them the tools to take it upon themselves to act in this way).

    Regardless, every institution – and the hierarchial bureaucracies within those institutions – will use, readily discard and distance themselves from certain people in order to survive. Unfortunately due to how much support, influence and power these institutions recieve it's unlikely anybody will get close to the truth.

    …yet it's not completely impossible. Mass cover-ups by the Catholic Church over child sex abuses, trafficking and murder were once throughously dismissed as a "conspiracy," and anyone suggesting it was ridiculed (Sinead O'Connor, anyone…?). It's the same with other major organised religions and their respective denominations.

30. Mormon stories did a good few episodes on the satanic panic- the first episode is good and shows the difference between legitimate cases and most of the BS reports that were made on the satanic panic and are now being regurgitated by Q anon people
    Other episode shows a Mormon women who a therapist tried to convince was a victim of satanic abuse (she wasn’t ) Teal Sean went to Barbara Snow who was a notorious Mormon therapist who implanted false memories and Teal is still doing that same BS on her followers now.
    But definitely check mormon stories first episode in that series- he has an educated approach and clearly shows the difference between false bs and legitimate claims.

I think you are on the right track… you are doing GOOD work.. but to be taken seriously you need to be CLEAR and speak Clearly. Say what you think they are doing. I have yet to hear you say … "I think the church leaders are sacrificing and eating children, here is why I think that."
