11. If we quantified the number of people who have died in the name of god, from the crusades on, we would all be atheists. I love history and therefore am an atheist. Religion has been the justification for murder for millennia and people really need to understand that EVERY religion has this perversion in it’s very fabric.

If he was so shocked by what he heard he would have run for the hills on his wedding night. As for Melaniece, I have some sympathy for her childhood trauma. That doesn’t mean she deserves a pass now. I’m suspicious that she and Ian both still believe in Lorihor and Chud. There’s no way she should have unsupervised custody of her kids now and forever. Love and prayers for you and your family. The thing with the David Warwick thing though was that, Lori and Chad tell Melanie (on that recording) that they feel Dave’s influence on her — in a bad way… I believe they could tell DW wasn’t buying what they were selling. He’s nutty in his own right for sure but the fact that L and C didn’t like DW after that meeting makes me think he is the reason she ended up talking to police and changing her belief system.

23. You are dropping jewels…labels are another way for people to judge others. Some church folk, not all, live and love to judge others but call themselves Christ like. Lori Chad Zulema and the Melanie’s judged their victims and deemed them zombies while calling themselves gods. The irony is lost on them

24. I completely understand making the connection between Chad and Lori and the 2nd anointing as a possible explanation for their actions, but I actually don't think it is applicable to this case. From what I understand, the only people who received this 2nd anointing were the super rich who had given millions to the church or like relatives of church apostles and super elite members as such. I don't think Chad or Lori fit any of those categories. Beyond that, 2nd anointings are always done with a married couple, so if Lori received it, that means Charles would have as well, which I highly doubt he did. Also, it is understood that murder is the one thing you are not allowed to do even after you receive a 2nd anointing, as it is the one sin that can ruin your exaltation or whatever. As much as I do believe Mormonism is somewhat complicit in these crimes for various reasons, I do think Chad and Lori started to create their own beliefs and doctrines outside of what Mormonism teaches currently. I truly don't believe that any of the present day church leadership supports the murder of children, or of anyone for that matter. However, their silence is deafening and they are definitely part of the problem. I just don't buy into the belief that Chad and Lori Daybell received an official lds church 2nd anointing. It just doesn't quite add up. It feels like you are trying to find answers to this tragedy and I don't think you will find them or that this path will bring you any peace. I think the answer honestly is that Lori and Chad had a shared mid-life crisis and a lot of people were hurt in their wake. I think the prosecution had it right when they said that the motivations were power sex and money and they used religion to justify their selfish desires. I hope you can allow yourself to truly grieve and actually find peace in yourself and in your life. Please don't make this what your life is about.

    I hope better, if he’s anything like my husband he’ll be wiped out (tired) for the next few hours after a crash like that.
    I had to make sure and listen again – you said his BS was 19!!! WOW! I totally understand why you would’ve been freaking out with worry! The lowest I’ve seen my hubbies is 29 and I was scared 😱 to death at that.

26. Im not as cynical abouf David. NJ is a very liberal state compared to Idaho, but in my real estate investment business, i could not sell a proprty on Sunday. I might show a property, but sign no contracts. I also had an auto dealership. Same thing–illegal to sell a vehicle on Sunday. Mormons arent suppised to shop anywhere on Sunday. Theyre not even supposed to stop for fast food. David is a contractor, so he has to have an investor as a partner. That the way it often works, and they both make money. Maybe I'm gullible, but everything except his "gift" sounded pretty normal. He has a son with Down Syndrome. And possibly autism? I can see him taking the time to try and connect with J.J. And he's staying at Lori's because Melanie pushed for it. I really thought he was another wacko that approached ideas with an "open mind." I want to know where Chad's phone, Lori's phone, and Alex's phone pinged at the exact time Melanie said she texted and called. Personally, i think Lori was behind that locked door with at least Alex. And it would not take Alex 1 1/2 hours. I think Lori was there and part of the murder. I can believe David had a nightmare. I can believe he was asked to look at a property. People like Chad are always trying to act like theyre part of the deal…part of the money…big shots. But its gross and makes no sense that he would want to do this after burying J.J. Then, too, about 4 years ago, there were numerous reports of Chinese tanks south of the border and Chinese troops invited to train with Canadian troops. David was making his nightmares fit with the news from certain conservative sources. That's how i see David. Hes willing to tell the truth under oath about his crazy dream stories. I think he takes seriously the fact that he put his hand on a Bible and swore to tell the truth. I don't believe Melanie puts God before her reputation. She just wanted to be important. David strikes me as a man who was having a mid-life affair. Thats my gut feeling, and ive been wrong plenty of times.

27. When tragedy happens, the tender hearted get lost in the "what ifs." We watched Annie dive into the research mode, day and night until she almost broke…trying to help in her way. There comes a point where you have to say out loud, "i was doing the best i could at the time." We let the "what ifs" ruin the moment at hand. At this moment you have your brother who could use some attention. Jason, if course. Larry who has aged so much under the weight of this moment. Ive been thinking about my own "what ifs." I want to try to live in this hour. I dont have a lot of chances left and i dont want to be wasting my hours. I could do better. (Lets hope i can make the change. Because my mother never gave me her present time. I dont want to be like my mother. The what ifs of one decade CAUSED the whar ifs of the next. I dont want that) you have a really deep hole to climb out of. I dont know how you will do it, but i believe you can. Maybe you can find a ladder?

31. What did Zulema do that she needed immunity for? I have a hard time believing Alex hurt the kids after the trial. I think Lori and Chad killed the kids. I believe he attempted to kill Tammy and Brandon and was spooked when things failed. I think he lacked motive. Maybe even took the failed attempts as signs from God to stop killing. That's why he was killed. This is only my opinion. I could be wrong. I don't mean any disrespect. Like everyone I'm in the rabbit hole trying to understand something that's so devastating.
